Custom Runners
A stair runner is a continuous strip of carpet that is adhered to the middle of a flight of stairs. The carpet edges are bound to prevent fraying. The runner covers the middle of the stair treads and risers, typically leaving around 3” to 4” of the staircase exposed on either side. Usually, runners are installed on top of wood or wood-look stairs. A runner is typically adhered to the staircase with brad nails or carpet staples. A runner can add style, warmth, and comfort to your staircase and, in some cases, may even prevent slipping on your staircase.
Custom Stair Tread Covers
Stair tread covers are bound rectangles of carpet which are slightly smaller than the size of the stair treads which they rest upon. Unlike runners, they only cover the tread of the stair, which is the part which is walked on. The risers remain uncovered.
